FAMOUS LETTERS

A letter sent on November 25th 1846 by Polish musician Frederic Chopin to his mistress George Sand fetched 155 000 FF (US $ 24,000) (not inclusive of buyer premium on November 24th 1999 in the Paris-Drouot salesrooms.

Another letter sent on December 5th 1844 by Chopin to George Sand fetched
150 000 FF (US $ 23,250) while a manuscript by Mozart, the famous 18th Century musician, of two religious titled «O Gottes Lamm» and «Als aus Egypten K.343» sold for 580 000 FF (US $ 89,900).
