FANTASTIC NEW CONCEPT BY FRENCH ARTIST
01 November 1997

Alain Bisson has invented a new concept combining music and painting which might well prove to be a 21th Century art revolution.
A genius in electronics, Alain Bisson has created a dream world which will probably make jealous the special effects experts of the Steven Spielberg movie studios. It took him more than 16 years to develop his invention which is now on the verge of causing an incredible sensation in the art world.

Bisson's idea has been to make a canvas alive by connecting it to any music. Then sounds are enough to produce incredible images. This artist has simply invented animated music and a 30-minute session would bring the viewer into a fantastic world as if he was going through a kind of unforgetable psychedelic experience.
Before coming alive a picture by Bisson bears some similarities with some of Vasarely's works of the early 1970's but that's all because when the music is on there are hundreds of different pictures coming out from it making the artist's realm look like that of Walt Disney's celebrated cartoon the sorcerer's apprentice.
Bisson has built for himself a room resembling the interior of a spaceship however arranged to absorb sounds with particular effects the result being that the viewer feels carried in another dimension. It's truly magical and one would believe that some Hollywood avant-garde producers would go crazy with such invention. Surely Internet king Bill Gates himself would be impressed by the almost unlimited shows one single canvas can display since it unravels its magical scenes through all kinds of music.

Bisson is not only an accomplished painter but also a great technician in linking different musics, in juggling with sounds and in playing with lights. In discovering his work one already sets foot in a revolutionary 21st Century art concept but the artist, always in search of perfection , has preferred to wait a little longer before presenting his fantastic invention to the public.
The association of painting and music combines all known forms of art and the adjunction of electronics has been essential in making my works look alive, Bisson has told InternetArt. My invention is above all a work of art that however can prove interesting for many sectors. It can be used for example in dancing clubs, in cinemas as a magnificent entertainment before a film and also as a way to relax people and to fight mental stress, he added.

Bisson can be described as the "Einstein of art", as the man who has managed to marry painting with electronics or best, as a magician who has succeeded in making people travel through space without leaving home. Thanks to him dreams are becoming a reality and his most secret wish is now to make video films of his works and to show them on the web. When this occurs one can bet Bisson is going to cause something tremendous on the Internet. AD
